Aberfeldy Distillery is a historic whisky distillery on the banks of the River Tay. Founded in 1896 by John Dewar, it is the maker of several whiskies, including Dewar’s blended whisky and Aberfeldy single malt. The distillery offers tours and has a visitor centre, bar and cafe, shop and heritage museum. Located only 20 miles from Stucktaymore, it offers a great day out for our whisky-loving guests.

This is a working distillery, and therefore opening times may vary. But you can check opening times and book tickets online in advance to avoid disappointment. The distillery hosts a range of tours and experiences. From the standard distillery tour to special connoisseur and blender experiences. All include a tour around the distillery with an expert guide and a whisky sampling.

Included in the price of your tour ticket, you have access to the heritage museum, which tells the Dewar’s story through a display of artefacts, images and interactive exhibits. There is also a lounge and cafe, where you can enjoy delicious treats in cosy surroundings. The bar serves a range of whiskies, including Dewar’s blends and Aberfeldy single malts. What’s more, there is a shop selling whisky gifts and rare distillery exclusives.

The burgh of Aberfeldy in Perth and Kinross is very popular with visitors. Alongside the distillery, there are plenty of other wonderful attractions. For example, the Birks of Aberfeldy, a beautiful place to walk that was made famous by Scots poet, Robert Burns. Cluny House Gardens is a peaceful garden with lots of lovely trees, plants and wildlife. And magnificent Scottish castle, Castle Menzies, with fascinating architecture and history.

Stunning, amazing, perfect. Stucktaymore was everything I hoped for. The lodge is perfect in every way with beautiful views to Loch Tay. There is so much space for everyone and the hot tub was very popular.
