We offer three large holiday homes in Scotland and each is available to hire for private self-catering breaks. Stucktaymore by Loch Tay and Stuckgowan and Stuckdarach by Loch Lomond, each have their own unique features and characters. Our properties all have multiple bedrooms and are suitable for large group bookings. Ideal for getting family and friends together for a big reunion or celebration.
Our largest property, Stucktaymore, sits on the shores of Loch Tay. This spacious holiday home, which sleeps up to 29 guests, is set within extensive private grounds and features amazing views of the loch. Located near the Perthshire village of Killin, there are plenty of great things to do around Loch Tay. There are wonderful places to eat and top attractions including the Falls of Dochart and Finlarig Castle. Lovers of the outdoors will enjoy wild swimming, golfing, walking and more in this beautiful part of Scotland.
Around 35 miles south-west of Stucktaymore, our other two properties, Stuckgowan and Stuckdarach are on the same country estate by Loch Lomond. Stuckgowan sleeps up to 19 guests, while Stuckdarach accommodates up to 12. Each house has its own beautiful private grounds, plus further space to explore across the 34 acres of estate. The two properties are located on the western shores of Loch Lomond, near the villages of Arrochar and Tarbet. There are many towns and villages to visit around the loch, such as Luss, Balloch and Balmaha. And fantastic local restaurants and visitor attractions.
Stuckgowan House and grounds were built on the shores of Loch Lomond between 1798 and 1820 as the country residence of the McMurrick family. Stuckdarach dates from 1820 and was also part of the McMurrick’s estate, originally the Estate Manager’s house. Stucktaymore and its grounds were built in 1843 for the Earl of Breadalbane as his summer hunting lodge, on a large estate on the north shore of Loch Tay.
The houses have had many uses over the years, but now are completely renovated and redesigned as exclusive, private holiday homes. All our houses have multiple bedrooms, allowing for different groups to get together. They have spacious social areas for cooking, dining and relaxing, but also quiet spots for privacy and relaxation. The accommodation is self-catering, so you can treat it as a home-from-home. However, we do offer optional chef and waiting staff, butler services, daily housekeeping, transfers and activities for added convenience.
