Here at Stuckgowan Estates, we have three luxury holiday houses, suitable for different-sized gatherings. Stuckdarach by Loch Lomond is our smallest property, suitable for between 4 and 12 guests, making it a popular choice for family holidays. Whether you’re just the one family, or a few family groups holidaying together, we have all the space and facilities you need for a wonderful stay.

Exploring Stuckdarach
Stuckdarach is a magical escape on the shores of Loch Lomond. The house dates from 1820 and was originally the office and stables for Stuckgowan Estate. But we have completely rebuilt the interior, creating a new structure within the original stone walls. It is now a contemporary house with modern luxuries and a high level of finish, perfect for any family gathering or celebration.
The house is set in a lovely walled garden, within a large private estate. In the main house, there are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, a large vaulted lounge, cosy snug, wood-burning fire, a kitchen and dining room. Across the courtyard, there’s additional accommodation in a self-contained one-bedroom apartment with its own sitting room, kitchen, breakfast bar and shower room. There’s also a Jacuzzi hot tub and BBQ.
Family-friendly facilities
We have lots of wonderful facilities for family holidays. Children of all ages are welcome at Stuckdarach. They’ll have lots of space to play, both inside and out. We also have toys and games, an XBox, TV and music system in the house. For families with babies, we can provide items such as bottle warmers, high chairs, travel cots and bedding on request. Stuckdarach is dog-friendly too, so no-one gets left behind!

Stuckdarach’s location on the shores of Loch Lomond makes this the perfect family holiday destination. Not only are there 4 acres of private hillside woodlands to explore, but there are lots of wonderful activities and attractions right on our doorstep. Whether it’s a fun-filled boat ride, a visit to the sea life centre or pony trekking adventure, there’s something for all the family.
Family meals, eating in or out
The property is very flexible when it comes to eating arrangements. We have extensive self-catering facilities, so you can prepare and serve your own meals to suit you. If you prefer, a private chef will come and cook for you (by prior arrangement). Or if you’d like to eat out, there are many wonderful local pubs and restaurants.
