This is a self-catering property, with plenty of facilities and space for cooking. However, if you’d prefer someone else to do the cooking, we can suggest talented private chefs and caterers who will come to the house and prepare and serve meals. This house and its grounds were built in 1843 for the Earl of Breadalbane as his summer hunting lodge. Originally the estate covered over 50,000 acres of land on the north shore of the loch and included much of what is now Killin village. In its time it has been a summer residence, a rented farm, a home for the records of Scotland during WW2. Then converted into a hotel which ran for 50 years and with 3 owners. Then a residential management training centre. And finally, we have completely upgraded and renovated it into a luxury private residence. The house now sits within 2 acres of formal garden and 2 acres of enchanted forest, providing the most spectacular setting for large gatherings with family and friends.
