A grand Perthshire hunting lodge
This large property was built in 1843 on the enormous Breadalbane Estate. Built in a distinctive Victorian style, it enjoyed magnificent views of Loch Tay while providing luxury and comfort to its guests. It was originally named Morenish Lodge, and opened to shooting parties from 1844. Offering access to the rich hunting and fishing grounds of the Scottish Highlands, it was a popular summer retreat for the Earl of Breadalbane and his family.
Over time, the house saw several changes in ownership and purpose. During World War II, the government used it as a safe repository for important Scottish records, a role shared by other grand houses across the country. In the post-war years, it transitioned into a hospitality venue, operating as a hotel for several decades. Then it became a residential management training centre, known as House of Cantle. Finally, it came into our ownership and we opened it as an exclusive-use holiday and event venue in 2017, renamed Stucktaymore.
