We offer three stunning country houses with extensive grounds in Scotland, available to hire as filming and photoshoot locations. These historic properties, with their distinctive architecture and rich heritage, provide a unique backdrop for film productions, television series, fashion shoots and more. Our houses are available to book for a minimum of 2 days from October to May, and 7 days from June to September, making them perfect for multi-day shoots.

Country houses for film and photography

If you’re looking for a manor house or large country estate for a film or photography project, take a look at our beautiful locations in central Scotland. At Stuckgowan Estates, we have two large houses and one smaller property, all of which exude character and charm. From cosy libraries to grand dining rooms, the interiors offer versatile backdrops for indoor sets. While our vast estates provide a variety of outdoor settings from manicured gardens to enchanted woodlands.

Loch Lomond filming locations

Stuckgowan House and its grounds were built between 1798 and 1820 as a country retreat for a prominent local businessman and his family. Overlooking Loch Lomond and designed in a Tudor-Gothic style, the property was known as “Grand Lady of the Loch.” On the same estate, Stuckdarach was once the Estate Manager’s residence. It housed the estate office, workshop, stables, tack room and boathouse. Both houses have been completely renovated, and are now luxury holiday lets that can also be hired exclusively for filming and photo shoots. It’s also possible to hire the larger Stuckgowan for filming and use Stuckdarach’s 6 bedrooms as onsite accommodation.

Highland Perthshire filming location

Stucktaymore is the largest of our properties, sitting high above Scotland’s Loch Tay. It features stunning panoramic views of the loch and surrounding Perthshire hillside. The house was originally a summer hunting lodge built for the Earl of Breadalbane in 1843. Throughout its history, the property has served multiple purposes, including housing Scotland’s records during World War II and operating as a hotel. Today, following an extensive renovation and modernisation, it is a luxurious private residence. Available for exclusive-use bookings such as holiday lets and business hire. The house and grounds provide plenty of exciting opportunities for filming on location.
