Getting to Stuckdarach

Stuckdarach is set on the magnificent Stuckgowan Estate, on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. Located on the western side of the loch, beside the villages of Tarbet and Arrochar. This is a wonderful area to discover, with lots of walking, wildlife, whisky, history and adventure and plenty of great local attractions and activities.

Transportation

Buses and taxis operate in the local area. Our closest train station is Arrochar & Tarbet (2 miles). The closest major airports are Glasgow (31 miles) and Edinburgh (78 miles). Car hire and taxis are available from both airports. You can also arrange a transfer in advance.

Parking

Drive to the glazed link door to unload, then reverse down the slope into the parking space in front of the green boiler house. If you have several cars please instruct your guests to park in the gravel car park just inside the main gates.

Check-in

Arrival time is 4.00 pm and departure time is 10.00 am unless otherwise agreed. 

House entry

Electric gates with keypad. For your information, the entry code is provided to you by our Housekeeper on your arrival. 

If you arrive early

If you arrive before check-in time, the good news is that there is plenty to do. We suggest that guests visit the grocery store and do a small shop, giving you more time to relax once you’ve checked in! There are also a few good restaurants for lunch so why not relax and enjoy some of the local food? Take a look at our local things to do guide for more ideas.
