Scottish golfing culture is one of welcoming hospitality and friendship. Everywhere has an atmosphere that makes visitors feel at home, whether sharing stories of your day over a whisky in the clubhouse or playing rounds throughout your holiday. Every swing is a memory in the making!

St Andrews

The home of golf is undisputedly St Andrews. Only 2-3 hours from our residences, an early start means a day in a stunning seaside town playing a few rounds. Here you can immerse yourself in the game, meet fellow players and if you are drawn in the daily ballot, even play on the Old Course.

Spending time at the R&A World Golf Museum is a must for any fan. Get to know the history of golf, and view hundreds of old clubs used throughout the years.

Muirfield

Around two hours drive away from our properties is Muirfield, home to the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers. Situated on the beautiful East Lothian coast, visitors are welcome to play where golfers have played since 1891. The course was created by Old Tom Morris before being re-designed in 1925 by Harry Colt. It has been as been the venue for high-profile events and competitions including 16 Open and 11 Amateur Championships; the Ryder, Walker and Curtis Cups. It is also the first course in Scotland to host a Ryder Cup match in 1974.

Gleneagles

Around 60 – 90 minutes away from our properties is Gleneagles, possibly one of the most famous golf courses in the world. James Braid, a five-time winner of The Open, designed and created The King’s and The Queen’s courses in the hotel grounds. In 1993, Jack Nicklaus designed and opened The Monarch’s Course, later renamed The PGA Centenary Course. In 2014, Gleneagles became only the second venue in Scotland to host a Ryder Cup match.
